Printrbot Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends designed to minimise wobble. Stylised to suit Brook Drumm's Orignal Printrbot design.

My design for this originated from TheGrum's "Printrbot Top Joinder", so a thanks goes out to TheGrum.

Instructions

WARNING: This is NOT designed as a handle - the printed "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" are designed to fit onto the 8mm smooth rods. They are simply pressed on and do not in any way, shape or form clamp to them. NEVER use this to lift the printrbot.

STEP 1: Simply Print both the left and right "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends"

STEP 2: Press the "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" onto your 8mm Z-Axis smooth rods

STEP 3: Measure the inside distance between the "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" - (adding 30mm for the length the rods are inside the "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" - 15mm into each x2) my Printrbot required a 286mm rod.

STEP 4: Cut a length of 8mm smooth rod to fit between the two "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends"

STEP 5: Remove the two "Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" from your Z-Axis smooth rods, Press them onto the newly cut length of 8mm smooth rod and re-fit them onto the Z-Axis smooth rods.

NOTE: Trying to fit the newly cut 8mm smooth rod into the"Z-Axis Stabiliser Ends" while they are still attached to the Z-Axis Smooth rods may put excess stress on your printed parts and is NOT at all recommended.
