Summary

I wanted to experiment with making a spinner that wasn't flat. Here's the result. A ball / planet / tomato that spins in the center of it. It uses standard 608 skateboard bearings and 5/16" nuts for counterweights.

I just told the slicer to print inside out and the bearing connector on the hemispheres pointing up so I didn't need to use supports. There was a small amount of sagging, but it was easy to clean up. If you want to have the top of the hemispheres with no sag, then point the connectors down and use supports.</p></div>

How I Designed This

I designed it in Fusion 360. The rounded hemispheres were made by creating a cylinder and then applying an extreme amount of fillet. :)
