Summary

Hello all, A friend dropped off his tricopter that needed work badly. I designed a yaw mechanism, motor mounts and landing gear for him.

Everything is designed for 1/2 (12.5mm) square dowels. The landing gear was printed at 20% infill 1 shell. everything else was printed at 80%infill.

light sanding is required on the booms themselves, the motor and servo mounts are a tight fit, there are holes for screws but I never used any because they fit so tightly.
The tail servo mount will require that you drill holes for the servo mounting screws. The yaw motor mount as a tab sticking out on the side, cut this off and drill a small hole to mount a ball link onto.
to mount the yaw motor mount you will need a long M3 bolt (20-25mm) two bearings (3mm inside dia and 8mm outside dia I think....)
and one M3 locknut.
I drilled a hole into the tail boom large enough to glue the M3 nut inside. insert the bearings into the yaw motor mount. slide the bolt in the back and screw it into the nut mounting into the tail boom. Use a washer between the servo mount and the yaw motor mount! a thrust washer would work best! good luck!!!!
