Rostock pen gripper

This is a pen gripper designed for a Rostock 3D printer. I designed it to allow me to use my printer as a plotter.

  1. Print the pen gripper.
  2. Put a screw through each of the 6 holes on the posts.
  3. Thread a nut onto each screw.
  4. With a screwdriver, turn each screw until the nut gets pulled into its cavity. It will be a tight fit.
  5. Attach the gripper to your print head using the 3 holes on the corners.
  6. Place a pen vertically in the place where all 6 gripper screws come together. Make sure the pen is positioned correctly so it will reach the paper when the print head is at Z=0.

You may now generate G-code and send it to your printer to be plotted! I'll be working on code to convert an SVG file into G-code.
