Summary

I used the cell phone stand created by na427 as a basis for this dual position cell phone stand. I liked the shape of the stand that na427 created. I did however need to cut about 5 mm off of the front lip because it was blocking my screen slightly in the horizontal position.

How I Designed This

Design

            <div><p>I used Tinker CAD to cut down the height of the stand to 5 mm. I then added a 2.5 mm foot to the front bottom side of the profile. I duplicated the shape. I then made a base to hold the two stand profiles. The intention of my design was to be able to disassemble the stand and put it in a small case for travelling. I made the base 5 mm tall, 10 mm wide and 110 mm long. I then created 5 mm wide and 2.5 mm slots 50 mm apart and centered on the base. I also made slots approximately 100 mm apart and centered on the base. These slots allow me to place the holder profiles in the center for a vertical positioning of the phone and the outer slots for a horizontal positioning of the phone. </p></div>
