Summary

Adaptor to allow the mounting of a device with 100mm VESA mounting holes (such as an Intel NUC PC) onto the back of a TV with 200 mm VESA mounting holes.

Was slightly messy, but worked.</li><li>The nut-traps are quite sensitive to tolerances (if they're too small the nuts won't go in). You can change their horizontal dimensions in FreeCAD by editing the 4.35mm constraint in Sketch002 (find it in the tree).</li><li>If you need to increase the height of the nut trap edit the length of the Sketch002 pad. </li></ul></div>

Post-Printing

Hardware required

            <div><ul><li>2x 20mm M6 screws/bolts (for mounting to TV/Monitor), washers optional</li><li>4x m4 nuts</li><li>4x 8mm M4 scews if you lost the ones that came with your device. Bracket can acommodate up to around 12mm long screws.</li></ul></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>Assembly</strong></p>            <div><ul><li>Clean up nut traps using needle nosed pliers or whatever you can find that fits inside.</li><li>Push m4 nuts into the nut traps. The sides of the nut should be paralel to the nut trap wall. You may need to push quite hard, I used needle nosed pliers.</li><li>If the nuts don't quite align with the holes you screw a longer m4 screw in a little and then lever the nut into place.</li></ul><p>That's pretty much it, now you should be able to mount your device with the standard VESA hardware and attach the whole thing to the TV using the M6 bolts/screws.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Not a great FreeCAD model (I've not used it much), but you should be able to change the nut trap dimensions and the height of the nut-trap pads by changing a single number somewhere in the tree. If you dig a bit :)

If you want to experiment with the nut trap dimensions, intersect the model with the cube hidden in the tree, allowing you to print only that segment.
Note that you should probably do "refine shape" on the parametric shape and mesh the resulting refined shape each time you make a change.
