Summary

I got tired of full disassembly after HvZ to swap springs, and I got tired of the effort it took to test different springs. This mod allows complete toolless hot-swapping of springs with only a tiny bit of additional hardware. Great for HvZ! Swap can be done easily in 20 seconds, or even quicker in a hurry.

Post-Printing

I used a 10-32 screw to secure the original core to the new retainer. I also added a wingnut and velcro to aid in ease of access.

Make sure the grooves are oriented correctly so that the spring holds the plate in place so it cannot rotate when in use.

You may have to back out your 3 rear rods to allow for enough room for the retainer plate. There should be enough length to allow for it.
