set of gears for collaborative extruder

if you want more push and your motor just cannot catch up with your desires, you need to throw lower gear.
now you have choice handy.

thanks to ring nut gears you can use also 6,5,4 and 3 toothed small gear. trick is to position the nut very precisely (it should be melted hot with i.e. soldering iron )

with 52:6 , threaded hobbed bolt and 1/16 microstepping my esteps are 1270 now (vs 630 while used 44:10 gears)

that gives decent push and i can extrude ABS @ 200C.

enjoy.

edit: new files for less wobble gears.
they use smaller nut , and allow positioning top of motor shaft inside the gear. I do recommend glueining the nut in place with ABS juice and also using allen head locknut - also glued after locking the shaft .

for 52:4 gear ratio my Esteps (provided just for reference) are 1820.
Note that with such ratio max retract speed might be a problem - in my setup it can be 12mm/s max - anything above causes missed steps and stringing.
