Category 5 Hurricane

This is a 3D model of the Hurricane Katrina at its maximum intensity at 12:45pm CDT on Aug. 28, 2005. It was created by NASA by processing visible and thermal infrared images acquired from NOAA’s GOES 12 satellites. At that moment, Katrina was a Category 5 storm on the Saffir–Simpson hurricane wind scale (SSHWS), with the maximum winds of 175 mph (280 km/h).

This is a very easy model to print and it will look great on your desk. There are 2 sizes to choose from: large (195x195x21mm) and small (97x97x10mm).

If you would like to support the victims of the recent hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, please consider making a donation to Heart to Heart International (www.hearttoheart.org).
