PLIGHTRI - a Tricopter with mounting for Naze FC board

Built this for my home-built tricopter, inspired by David Windestahl's design (RC-Explorer)
New update coming

  • Aimed towards a modular design I'm working on setting up my printer first, as soon as I've a confirmed good print and flight test I'll post the update. Let me know by request what kind of flight controller board you want to be able to mount - this will allow for a one-fits all design!

  • fits 10mm booms
  • screw holes let you screw in M3 bolts directly in the plastic
  • DT750 motor mounts for 10mm booms - including rear hinged setup
  • Naze 32 and Acro Naze 32 mounting case bottom from Gruffy
  • enclosed battery holder - protects your soft lipo in case of a crash
  • camera mount for Sony Action Cam platform on the front
  • non-folding legs
  • printed with supports
printed at 10% density .2mm resolution and it's solid. The "fishtail" towards the back is intended as surface on which to mount LEDs.
next version will probably include cable-management clips and possibly a new removable leg system
This battery holder is supposed to just "clip in" to the chassis.
After having just concluded a test flight with the battery holder in place, I can confirm that it performs as promised. It perfectly fits my 3S 2200mAh. I can, upon request scale/resize the container part to accomodate larger batteries. However for my purposes the 2200mAh is more than sufficient for 10-15 minute flights, even with the Sony Action cam mounted on board.
