ElectroMag-Test-Jig

We needed a test jig that would slowly and smoothly pull on an electromagnet for a science fair project. So borrowing jsteuben's worm gear (www.thingiverse.com/thing:343922) we assembled this test jig.

Changes to the original worm gear include: Reducing the diameter of the short axle shaft for the horizontal large gear so it will spin more freely. Split the vertical worm gear in half and flipped the upper half upside down so it will print the gear threads cleanly (no clean up after!) and added a 10mm hex shaft to tightly hold the vertical gear together. Created a good crank handle to drive the worm gear. Also added a threaded shaft to the large horizontal gear so we could drive our project sled in and out very slowly.
