There tight to start but once the rod cuts the threds in they smooth out great.<br>I did 3 versions flange gnarled and finger turn no flange.</p><p>i also left the original 3ds max file in it has all steps from tube to complete </p></div>

            <div><p>The most i've had to do with any of these is take a needle file to them if they seem a bit tight<br>Otherwise just resize to fit.</p><p>my size is based on a 0.6 nozzle so print one adjust scale as needed then print your tray's worth.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Why did i do this.

            <div><p>Well .. in short i didnt have any M10 nuts and they didnt need to hold any real waight.<br>So i thought about it tried finding a modle on here that would thred on a real rod and couldnt.<br>so i started thinking about how to make one.</p><p>my first problem was the threads for the most part there to fine for FDM to print. so i desided to let the bolt / rod cut it's own threds. the next problem was hand turning these things is hard.<br>so i took a note from those plastic bushing barrings i've seen and made fingers on the inner ring.<br>Then adjested untill the fingers just barly filled half the thred grove they were still hard to start but once on they go on and off smoothly thereafter.</p><p>you do have to take it slow or they will thred crooked but even then it's not that big a deal.<br>The fingers let the bolt/rod slide and cut the plastic alot easer and they hold up remarkibly well.<br>i made one with flat sides to get a wrinch on it and turnd it to braking and the whole thing broke before it lost thread hold. took quite a bit of force to brake it to boot.<br>i've only printed in PLA so abs or petg will yeld diffrent results.<br>These are now going to be holding my second prusa's y axis together.</p></div>
