Summary

I built this to accompany dteck 's Arduino Uno R3 Base (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:81375). I liked the modular nature - when I'm done prototyping, the pieces disassemble into their smaller, individual components but get to live in the bases (as opposed to combo bases, where the components are mounted together).

How I Designed This

I took measurements off of dteck's arduino base (modularity) and the half breadboard (fit) using a digital caliper, then built the model. The first iteration fit the breadboard dimensions, but was off a bit on the breadboard notches and the external modular cavity. I was able to use some creative modification techniques (a propane torch and a nail [notches] and utility knife [cavity]) to make it fit. In the interest of sharing a usable file, I reworked the model. It is a quick, low res print (barely over an hour with very little filament consumption), so I reprinted it: perfect fit!
