Cable-Pull Gripper Head

This project is a test for some different gripper designs.

The cap is sized to be a tight fit on a 1/2in schedule 40 PVC pipe. (some sanding/turning may be required). A second cap can be printed to mount the handle on the other end of the pipe.

This design has one fixed claw and one moving claw. You could make both claws move, but since they are not geared together it's harder to get them to line up. It's also easy to design custom claws for a particular application. Mounting holes for replacement claws should be M5 holes centered in a 15mm claw. The fixed claw should have two holes 17mm apart.

Additional parts are M5x12 screws, a pull cord, and a spring (or some elastic or rubber band) to retract the claw.
