Summary

Still Waters Run Deep is from a scan of the Still Waters horse at the Marble Arch in London that I found on MyMiniFactory.com that was remixed to have water as the base instead of just a plain block.

It is a gift to my mum for her birthday, it represents the type of man she grew me to become, with its true meaning of "a quiet or placid manner may conceal a more passionate nature"

During the printing, I only used a 0.4mm nozzle and the darker banding seen in the photos is when the wood filament got clogged and ended up "cooking" in my hotend. I ended up ordering a hardened 0.8mm nozzle and reprinted the base with no clogging issues.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Break, Sand, and reglue

            <div><p>I found it very difficult to sand/file/finish the wood with the water and horse together, so I actually broke the head from the water and finished it that way with 80, then 160, then 320 grit paper and filed some of the extra rough spots. Finally hot glue the the two pieces back together!</p></div>
