Summary

I have signed letters to my wife with a pierced heart since before she was my wife. I wanted to reproduce that in plastic. On the way I made a couple of mistakes but, hey, I liked them as well. Here are all three.

You might want to try printing the pierced heart with no raft or anything. I did not and it's awfully hard to clean.

Also, the pierced heart has bit of a flaw where the arrow meets the heart. I'll fix that up and remove this comment. Eventually.

How I Designed This

In Fusion 360. I created the two sides as separate splines and dragged them together. I then extruded it and created a solid. Copy the solid, scale the copy a bit, and subtract it. Oops! Now you get a bowl because it scaled in the Z direction as well. Now scale the smaller one way too much in the Z direction and subtract. A hollow heart! The arrow is a total kludge, lots of little boxes. But Valentine's day was approaching and I needed to get the thing printed. Maybe I'll make a better one someday but this one did the trick.
