Ghostbusters Belt Gizmo - Reinforced & Remixed

Big fan of azurial's Belt Gizmo model, but it was too thin and prone to breaking.

I totally redrew it in Sketchup (file provided!) and made the baseplate thicker, 3mm up from 1mm. It's a lot stronger now. The included STL is a touch wider where azurial's Nixie shelf would go, so that you glue the shelf onto the surface of the board, which is much stronger than trying to saddle the shelf to the board and glue.

I then went and separated the Nixie shelf from Chrischkula's Belt_Gizmofinished-_Demo.stl in Netfabb so that it could be printed as a separate item, without having to assemble it. This file goes with the named Remodeled Gizmo board, as it was sized for a glue-down fit. The .skp matches this STL.

The Chrischkula Nixie shelf is best printed as imported, with supports turned on.

The Gizmo itself is best printed at 200 micron layers, solid for strength.
