Hinge and fastener

After seeing this and this fantastic projects to bring some joy to sick children, a group of makers in Zaragoza decide to replicate for local hospitals.

Pepo Jiménez, from Madrid, and Pablo Rubio, from Zaragoza, printed both designs and showed them to medical personnel, who told them that the boxes should be bigger (for the size of the bags they use).

One of the ideas to accomplish that, on regular sized 3D printers, was to have external hinges to maximize the space in the printer for the box. So I designed this hinges and fastener as a "proof of concept".

Not yet sure if this hinges will be used for this, have to prove its robustness and size, but can be useful for other kind of boxes.

The minimum wall thickness is 2.5mm but can be thicker, the photo of the yellow wall is an example of 5mm.

Be careful with the direction of the hinges to avoid dismantling the box when opening, so there are symmetrical versions, use one of each.

The file Hole.stl is the hole that needs to be made in the wall to fit them, it is 0.25mm bigger to avoid problems.
