Rotating base for laser leveler (ADA cube)
The cheapest laser levelers can give only two orthogonal lines (i.e. two orthogonal half-planes). Moreover, they do not have a rotating base Therefore, it is difficult to align the vertical line/plane.
I have developed a rotating base for the laser leveler (ADA cube) to simplify aligning. Initially DIY bearings (plastic cylinders and metal balls) were used to reduce friction during rotation (see Figure). Unfortunately, such rotating bases were found to be inapplicable, because any vibration could change the direction of the laser beam. For this reason, the bearings were not used in the final design.
