Summary

I've been looking for a way to show new student pilots how the numbers on a sectional translate to actual space in the air. See the disclaimer below if you're somehow tempted to plan a flight using a piece of 3-D printed plastic.

            <div><p>"Lisa" in the SketchUp community did all the heavy lifting.  I parsed out John Wayne's airspace and brought it kind of to scale.</p></div>

Only a Novelty

            <div><p>I don't totally feel like this is necessary, but just in case:  This is a model, is not to scale, and may not even be accurate.  I tried to make it so it would sit on top of a sectional to help new students visualize the shape of the airspace only.  Don't use this for any kind of flight planning...but dear god I hope you knew that already. :|</p></div>
