Summary

A pair of ladders that can be used as height-adjustable support when you don't need too much precision but won't want to have to measure precisely. I use it to support the middle of my notebook (when it stands on notebook legs).

Instructions

Printing and using is straightforward - you just put one of the ladders upside-down on the other one.

The most complex part is fine-tuning. I think that if you have a high-definition 3D printer, you don't need any special measures, but I don't have one.

First, height increment between steps should probably be an integer multiple of layer height.

Second, I set the fill mode to perpendicular lines. That way the fixators get printed somewhat sanely. Of course, now I need to use height increment of twice the layer height.

Also, parity of layer where the stairs occur matters a lot. There is a parameter to lift all the design by a fixed amount (adding more material at the bottom).
