Maker Cane

I tore my achilles tendon and will need something to hobble around on until I am fully healed. So instead of going for the cheesy old-people canes, I wanted to make myself something more befitting a MakerPimp. What I think is cool about this idea is that you can customize it to your tastes, and change it around depending on your mood or style.

The core is a generic 8mm or 5/16 threaded rod, cut to proper length. The "beads" that go on the rod are varying lengths, so that proper sizing can be achieved by a mix of different ones. And you can mix and match colors.

Skull head is from (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:163311)
First-draft handle was from Sconine's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11272), which works also.
If the default "cane beads" are too tight on the threaded rod, try the "105" version which is scaled up a little bit.

If anyone from Thingiverse is reading this, I believe a category for "accessibility" is in order, because there's a lot of great ideas here for people with disabilities. So we don't have to label it as a "fashion accessory"
