Hard drive bracket for TV on VESA mount point

A simple, no supports required, HDD holder for my TV.

The TV uses the HDD to enable recording and to pause/buffer live TV, etc. but I didn't like that it was just sat behind the TV.

I found a spare M6 bolt in my spare parts bin and designed a mount that would hold the HDD to one of the (unused) VESA/wall mounting points on the back of the TV. It uses a couple of rubber bands/elastic bands to hold the HDD in place.

Much neater than before. :-)

Materials needed:

  • M6 (or similar) bolt to fit the VESA mount on your TV/monitor
  • A few rubber bands to hold the HDD in place

EDIT: Probably would be useful to say my HDD is a Toshiba type and I designed around the following HDD dimensions - LxWxH = 119x79x15mm.
