Tararua Ranges, New Zealand (1:100000)

Description: 1:100000 (1cm = 1km) scale tiles of most of the Tararua Ranges, near Wellington in New Zealand. Each tile covers a 10km-square area. Z-axis scale has not been 'enhanced'.
Thing Files: ZIP of 14 tiles (STL), plus corresponding Topo50 map excerpts. File naming convention: name corresponds to Easting/Northing of lower, left corner of the tile (numbers to 4 sig fig), e.g. tile "1780_5450" represents the 10km square whose lower, left corner has coordinates E1780000/N5450000 (NZTM2000). You do not need to download the non-zipped STL Thing File - it was included just so that Thingiverse had a sample to render.
The data I used to build my map tiles was created by the University of Otago, National School of Surveying and was sourced from koordinates.com under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 license. Topo50 map excerpts were sourced from the LINZ Data Service under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 license.
I used the ASC version of the DEM file, and cut it into 10km-square tiles with some code I wrote. Rendering to STL was done with Accutrans3d (winner of the most appalling UI ever created).
I'd also like to credit @Shapespeare for his/her tutorial at http://www.the3dprintedfuture.com/shapespeare/?p=1 - I didn't end up using much of his/her process or tools, but it was an invaluable walk-through of what needed to get done.
