Summary

Using a $10 sheet of 2mm acrylic and a $5 plastic container, you can enclose your Replicator and increase your print quality. Plus, it doesn't look too bad at all.

I found some nice holders by drandolph but, only 2mm acrylic was readily available at Lowes so I decided to redesign this for the thinner sheet and change a couple things.

Buy a 2mm 18" x24" acrylic sheet and a Sterilite 15 5/8" x 12" x 9 3/8" stack bin model 1287.

Print the panel holders before you cut the acrylic and measure!

Print 2 sets of side holders, 1 set of front holders, and 1 set of knobs.

I used rafts for printing all pieces. You may be able to print the holders raft-less, but I rounded the edges, so one part may not stick to the HBP in accelerated mode. The knobs were a quick hack and will give some errors when generating G code, but they seemed to print fine (w/raft & supports) for me and work great.

Once you get the pieces printed out and installed, measure the openings. Cut the front acrylic panel to 15in x 8 3/4in and the sides to 8 3/4" x 8 3/4". This will overlap the top of the opening by 3/8". You could shorten the top to align with the top of the replicator window. Cutting was a little sketchy, but I did manage to get 3 usable pieces out of the single sheet. I bought an extra just in case. I might go back and re-cut, but it works great for now.

The fit of the knobs will be tight. Align them and give them some soft taps with something suitable.
