Whirlpool Part 358684 Strike Lid Switch Extension

Recently my cheap Whirlpool LSR8233JQO washing machine stopped entering the spin cycle, which left me in a bit of a predicament since the basket was filled with water and I had no real way of easily draining it.
Conversely, after investigating the timing unit --- the expensive part 3953146 --- and determining that it was more economical to either build my own timing unit from a raspberry pi and some AC relays I had laying around the house or to buy another cheap washing machine, I discovered via googling that the spinning problem can also occur because the switch lid --- part 3949237 --- stops working.
Likewise, after examining the switch lid --- noting that I decided to use a screwdriver to push the switch lid down since a complete disassembly of the washing machine would be required to gain access to the lid switch --- the spin cycle started working again, thus I discovered that the part 358684 strike lid switch was not toggling the part 3949237 lid switch.
Now, at this point, while some people might have decided to disassemble the machine and address this problem more directly, I opted to create a part using my 3D printer that would extend the Whirlpool Part 358684 Lid Switch in order to fix the problem and the results of my labors are provided here.
