Desalinator Prototype

Proof of concept prototype of a desalination structure that could be scaled up for salt recovery ponds. Salt water is placed in the center basin and the arches are covered in plastic wrap. As water evaporates, it flows down the plastic wrap and collects in the side troughs. The back section is hollow, forming a collection basin and allowing the fresh water to drain from the troughs into a protected area. The side nipple is sized to fit aquarium airline tubing as a way to drain the collection basin.
