Summary

This is based on one of Finn the Human's many swords from Adventure Time. It is sliced into pieces small enough to be printed in a 120x120x120mm print volume (the volume of the Monoprice Select Mini).

I will update this once I have. There are no pins to connect the blades as I found on previous sword prints that they were more of a pain in the butt than they were worth. Since this is meant to be a display piece rather than for active cosplay I plan to just glue everything together and hope for the best.</p></div>

How I Designed This

I used the best picture I could find of this sword as a starting point. I designed the blade in sketchup, as it's pretty simple geometerically. I tried to create the twisty root handle in sketchup as well but that proved too complicated and time consuming. Instead I designed it in VR using Kodon and simplified and sliced it in 3d builder. I'm not totally happy with the positioning of the blade in the handle. I think it could be a little more evenly "held" in the roots, but at least from one side it looks pretty close to the image from the show.
