I have had some major issues with my leveling screws working loose causing my bed to lose level, so I designed this mechanism to attach to the Flash Forge Creator/Creator X build plate. It's designed to lock into place wing nuts on my leveling screws so they cannot loosen up. This means the build plate does not have to be leveled as often.

Instructions

DO NOT JUST OPEN AND PRINT. This is a mock-up model.

Open/Import the model in your design program. Delete the 3 Set Screws and trhe 3 Wing Nuts on the bottom (these 3 wing nuts are best seen if you view the model from the bottom looking up) Move the circular wing nut retainers away from the frame and adjust their size for your application

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOW:

1 Go buy 3 wing nuts of the proper size to fit your build plate leveling screws and get 3 set screws while you're at it.
2 Move your extruder away from the build plate
3 Remove the thumbscrews used for leveling the build plate
4 insert the wing nut retainers into the round holes of the frame
5 Insert the build plate leveling screws through the 3 holes in the wing nut retainers
6 Thread your wing nuts onto the leveling screws and adjust your build plate until it is level
7 Tighten the set-screws hand-tight, then 1/8th of a turn to lock the retainers in place to prevent the wing nuts from ever working loose.

Build Plate Screw Lock
