Mouse Catcher
A modern remake of an 1800''s mouse catcher.
Works Very well ie. See MouseTrapMonday.com He has video of similar working
models . Will take about 10 Hours to print both parts. and requires 2 thumb 1/4 - 20 screws
and a finishing ail. See details.
Bottom thumb screw controls the tilt weight, trip point of the magnet latch.
I used a 3D desiccant bag packed inside the reels ( about 12 grams ) as a test dummy .
Setup:
Move the bottom thumb screw up until it touches the diving board magnet .
Place the dummy on the end of the diving board and unscrew the adjuster until it trips.
Place the assembly on a bucket and tighten the side clamp.
make a ramp out of wood or folded cardboard and secure to the unit.
For bait peanut butter works well.
Lets hear some stories about the environment and the catch rate ie.
(Small hourse barn 4 in a night , tool shed 10 in a month.)
