Summary

My Aunt and Uncle gave me a much loved Original Leatherman Multi-tool (0796) forever ago (thank you!) and I wanted to take it on a campout last weekend. However, I've never had a case and didn't want to banging around in my pocket. Why make a case out of webbing when you have a Printer! :)

The case has a snug fit around the knife and hangs well. After a weekend of pretty hard use, it's still holding up fine.

Instructions

Printed it on a Replicator 2 with medium resolution, 100% fill, raft and support. I think you'll always need support b/c of the belt clip overhang. I used raft too, b/c it's fairly tall with a narrow footprint.

Disclaimer 1: I printed out the pocket version, whose clip was a little too shallow for my belt. Worked great clipped on a pocket. Belt version is same, only with the clip further out. (if too far out let me know and I'll adjust it)

Disclaimer 2: There's a small notch in the picture on the bottom of the holder. Thinking it was a good idea, I ground it out using a rock during the camping trip, but didn't really need it as I just use the tool's beveled front to lift the tool out. (i.e. the notch on the bottom plate is not in the model)

Disclaimer 3: Tool only fits well in the way it's shown in the pictures. (because of rivet placement) If you prefer a different orientation for, say, the International Quick Draw Leatherman Organization, this isn't the holder for you! (But if you are a member of the IQDLO, let me know :)

If you aren't sure of the model of your Leatherman, lift out the tools from the knife side: the number is stamped inside that half of the tool.
