Summary

Spinnerator fidget spinner generator with LEDs. Shows kids how electricity is generated.

Works best in dark. I only had 30 AWG wire, but thinner should provide more turns, with a higher potential to the LEDs.

Additional parts:
Qty 3, three-pack of 18 mm x3 mm neodynium disc magnets from Home Depot
Qty 3, red T-1 3/4 (5 mm) LED
30 AWG or smaller magnet wire
Skateboard bearing
Adhesive (5 minute epoxy)

Tools:
Nut and bolt to secure coil form for winding
Hand drill
Solder and iron

Use zig-zag supports with a 5 mm support line distance.  This makes them easy to tear out with small needle nose pliers.  The inner walls of the coil form must not catch the wire when winding.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Wind three coils by securing coil form on bolt and nut, then turning with hand drill. Insert wire wire through hole nearest axis, wind until full, then bring wire through second hole, twisting together to secure.

Strip and tin wires then install coil form in rotor, feeding wires through holes. Solder wires to LEDs, turning coil form to retract wires.

Test functionality prior to securing LEDs in holes with adhesive. Flip polarity of LED to adjust phase of flickering.
