Cabled Vertibrae .. Two and 4 way Section W.I.P.

W.I.P. Tail or Tentacle section .. Working on grabber and various tips .
Plan - to create a servo controlled soft robot ..
Potential avenue is to create cabled " sections , within the length , to create separate movement along the tail or tentacle .. whilst also allowing for a grabber that doesn't close as the tail flexes and pulls its cable .. issue.. solution--sprung cables ?? mobile sheath??
Central core possibly in flexible pipe , run extra cables up there or power to servos?
