Water for Life Coding Activity

Water for Life is a 2-hour activity designed to introduce 5th to 8th-grade students about issues around Clean Water and inspire them to build solutions to those challenges using technology.
Perfect to host groups of students for half-days on events.
Duration: 2 hours (~ half-days)
Target age group: 5th to 8th-grade (late elementary to middle school)
Material costs: ~$35 / kit (not including 3D printed parts)

Learning Objectives:
- Knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
- Understanding the importance of access to Clean Water and how the lack of it can be impactful for certain populations around the world.
- Ability to see the technology opportunities in context and how it can be used as a force for positive change.
- Basic understanding of microcontroller capabilities and how to code its behavior to achieve a certain purpose.
