amii-block
I found on the wonderful world of reddit how people make custom amiibos, So I figured I'd give it a shot myself. Bought a 20 pack of the Tag NFC stickers, and dumped one of mine. Shortly after, I wrote it to a sticker, and lo and behold, it worked.
Well, I decided that I wanted to build something unique and fairly portable, that would be able to carry a reasonable amount of amiibos around without taking up too much space. I looked over the card designs, but I currently have my paper printer loaned to someone. I originally wanted to make a little mini disc, but I saw that others did this concept before me. I wanted something more original, so then I decided to slap together a few things in tinkercad. Found myself a rounded block, and decided I wanted my amiibos to be on a die-like block. So I worked in tinkercad with it, hollowed out the core a little, reinforced the block in some spots doing so, and cut out 6 holes to fit each little amiibo token I plan on using. Afterwards, I made the token, which was simply finding a couple of images, splicing them in paint, and making an svg, then transferring it into tinkercad. I ended up printing the token at .2 res, and the block at .3 because I didn't feel like waiting over an hour for something that may need extra work. After both were printed, I ended up having to shave off supports on the cube and some of the outer part of the token so that I could get it to fit tight in the cube. Afterwards, I put it to my switch and my 3ds, and both worked.
I encourage remixing the token design, and doing it your own way. One cool idea I didn't think of would be to use different color filaments and color code the tokens when you put them on so it's a lot simpler to pick out the right one to put on your nfc. I already made a wolf link token from a stock tribal wolf head and some sketches of the patterns on wolf link's head. Put it right next to the regular link token, and I've had no issues accessing either one when need be.
