Travel Weight for Star Adventurer

Travel weight for my Star Adventurer. It also doubles as a tripod weight when used with a length of cord or neck strap from an ID card etc. I made two sizes of weight to give some options but in use I'll probably carry two of the smaller ones, and I opted for a swivel lid for convenience. The weights are 90mm in diameter and the smaller one is 50mm in height and the larger one approx. 85mm. The idea is that these can be loaded with materials on site, e.g. sand, gravel, coins etc. saving weight when travelling. They also double as containers for spare batteries etc which can of course also be used as the ballast. It's difficult to design a lightweight fastening to secure the weight container on the weight bar so I envisage this being positioned at the end of the bar and held in place by gravity. I have included a horizontal opening for hex nuts and a bolt but I'm not convinced how effective it will be. On my print the hex opening was slightly smaller than an M4 nut so I screwed one all the way up the bolt and one onto the end, heated it in a candle flame and pushed it home with a pair of pliers. This effectively welded the nuts in place. The lid can be secured with M3 bolts and nuts and I included an M3 nut-shaped recess in 3 places. Again this is quite a tight fit and I heat welded mine in. I only use one bolt so that the lid is free to swivel open and closed for convenience. In hindsight there wasn't any need for three fixing points. I have also found a self-tapping screw is effective at holding the lid in place and if you enlarge the hole in the lid, it can rotate freely around the screw. I printed at 0.3 resolution and 10% infill. Supports aren't necessary and the objects are in the right orientation in the files for printing.
