Summary

The weights is placed in the upper half of the tuning arm and slows down the oscillation of the arm by its weight, so there is a measurable difference from the original frequency without the load.

Verification in SounCard Scope

rnSoundcard Scope uses a sound card as an oscilloscope. Based on the sound card features, it is an oscilloscope with a limited frequency range from Hz to 20 kHz. It is accurate enough to display frequency analysis. (Zeitnitz, 2017)rnThe tuner with the resonant box breaks out and its frequency is verified in the immediate vicinity of the flap microphone.

Step 1

On the top of the arm, the original weights is placed and the tuner frequency is re-measured.

Measured frequency 424 Hz with original weights.

Step 2

In the same position, the original weights is replaced and the frequency is re-measured.

Measured frequency 424 Hz with molded and printed weights.

Summary of verification

On the basis of the measured values, it can be stated that the newly created weights causes the tuner to vibrate at the same frequency as the original load and is an adequate replacement.
