50W LED construction spotlight floodlight DIY
This light uses a 50W LED chip from aliexpress, it is powered with an 19V 65W notebook power supply. There is a step up converter module built in, wich brings the voltage up and limits the LED current. In the pictures you can see my first version with the poteniometer extended to the outside to adjust the brightness. This was not very useful, so I omitted it.
The heatsink with the fan is from an old computer, for the 12V fan I used a small step down converter. About 6-7V is enough to keep it cool.
I have two of these lamps and they are working fine for over 100 hours now.
I designed this LED spotlight with Fusion 360, files are also available.
