Summary

We took the buck & doe pendant found on the internet, re-created the design in Inkscape, modified it to use as our prom tickets (theme: A Night in the Wilderness) and extruded it in FreeCAD.

Instructions

The buck and doe fit so well together you can print both pieces in ABS on top of each other (put together) and they easily snap apart after printing. Or print them separately in different colors and they fit together without any sanding. We also printed in Laywood-D3 wood filament at 190C but the print was slightly 'fatter', and required about 10 minutes of sanding to get the doe and buck to fit together. Our original plan was to print the doe at 190C and the buck at 230C for contrasting darkness of wood, but the buck came out even 'fatter.' We sold our dark-colored bucks as singles.

We soldered copper hoops at the top hole so the pendant would lie flat against the chest when hung by a chain.

Printing at scale of 1 was a bit large, 0.5 was too small, and 0.81 (50% volume) was just right, in our opinion.

Our best prints were sliced in Slic3r with the following settings:
0.2 thickness
4 perimeters
25% fill
6 top solid layers (for solid finish)
4 bottom solid layers

When printing with Laywood-D3, the bottom of the heated bed gives an almost varnished finish. We started printing the tickets upside-down for this effect.
