An OpenSCAD model of one of the underwater vehicles from the Octonauts/Meomi cartoons.

Instructions

Requires the MCAD library.

Change the parameters to make various kinds of Gup-like shapes. The optional parameter tow_line changes the rear of the gup to have a tow line looking thing, it's not perfect, but similar to what the Gup-C would have. The default parameters are suitable for printing, but the model is a bit fragile in that the parameter space that creates feasible models is small.

front_radius: controls the front globe where the cockpit sits.
back_radius: controls the back globe where the propeller shaft attaches.
port_hole_radius: sizes the port holes along the side.
various shaft parameters: adjust if you already have a propeller, or for the included three-arm parametric propeller.

The body prints OK on a MakerBot Replicator but, the back is a bit too steep and the surface rips up some. Some of the "doodads" like the porthole outer rings and the "lamp" have trouble occasionally.
