Summary

This is a like image of the Pokemon Porygon. While it is just a figurine, the necessary polygons and mathematic sculpting made its design process challenging. It demonstrates the necessary skills that sculptors must demonstrate when making a figure out of ice, but this one is much more geometric.

Post-Printing

Once each of the pieces are printed, the assembly does require a hot glue gun. There are two identical small pieces that will serve as the eyes and they can be put on the head (the most cylindrical of the pieces). The two average sized pieces that are mirrors of each other are the legs, which can go on either side of the body. The tail is easily identifiable as a long rectangular prism. before connecting the head on to the body be sure to first put the missing chest piece into the empty space at the front of the body.

How I Designed This

The design process was time consuming to say the least. Each of the pieces began as a basic tinkercad shape and then through the using of turning a shape into a hole and then merging a sculpting process began. The eyes for example began as a tinkercad diamond then it was rotated 180 degrees, merged with a cube on top and then thinned to resemble Porygon's eyes. The head began as a large rectangular prism and then was continuously chipped away at. And so on and so forth for all of the pieces.
