Samsung Note 9 - Armored Two Piece Case
After endless searching for a proper phone case, I found not one that could live up to my brutal standards being able to withstand a falli out of my lap without damaging my $1000 phone. So I made this.
Step aside, basic asthetics. Move over, too-wimpy-to-cover-the-screen protection. This is a case for men. A case that makes your Note grow a beard.
One that raises above the screen (about a quarter inch, not what she said).
One that keeps those buttons from being pressed while you do REAL work
One made to be gripped with only a single bear hand.
One that doesn't send the phone flying one way, the case the other, should you actually drop it or decide to use it as a hammer
One that makes anyone that bears witness to its plastic provocativeness say:
'The shit is that? Is that a phone?'
But seriously:
-Print this in PETG with 50-80% infil, camera side down for both halves on the bed. Use supports. Should print correctly at current size.
-Sand with 800 grit sand paper on the inside where the phone will make contact, lest you scratch the trim with a rough PETG edge.
-Install your favorite tempered glass screen protector
-Assemble with 8x M3 bolts and M3 nuts. Use a slightly longer M3 bolt to pull the nut in, if needed. Note (pun not intended): DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN ON THE SCREEN
-Don't give into the new found temptation of beating someone with your phone. Unless you must. Then rest assured, your phone can now do it.
I've battle tested this case for 3 months, taking countless spills that I wouldn't expect a GoPro to survive. If you manage to break your phone with this, I won't refund you, I might even laugh at you, but most of all I will want to know how.
Take the time to fit the phone properly and the case should protect well. Only the SD/SIM card slot is covered. This is a good thing, because now everybody is going to want to steal your phone. But they can't remove the sim. It is locked. Thieves cant even M3 hex keys. All other ports should be completely accessible to even the meatiest of incredibly bad design cables. Still soaks up the wireless inductive charging through all that armor, nice.
