Spirit Halloween Ghostbusters Proton Pack Battery Holder

These brackets allow you to mount a 12V rechargeable battery in the Spirit Halloween Deluxe proton pack. This is for the smaller Spirit Halloween pack, not the Life-Size Pack. This will replace the 3xAA battery pack that is included in the pack and is needed if you are replacing all of the original electronics with more accurate sounds and lighting effects.

To mount a larger "blue brick" battery, some of the support webbing needs to be removed. I used a dremel (rotory tool) to gring away the top portion of some of the supports. Then the battery holder base parts can be permanently glued in place. The top portions of the battery holders are connected with 2-28, 5/16" long plastite screws. This allows you to later get a different sized battery and you just need to print new top pieces and swap out the old top-pieces.

The battery was not held in place as well as I wanted, so there are edges that can hold a rubber band in place. This had a side benefit of holding the charger connector in place so it could be easily accessed.
