32 mm (1.26") x 1/8" Magnet Cases for Black Iron Oxide Suspensions

These are magnet cases that I made for my kids' iron oxide suspension display's magnets. The magnets that I bought are N52 Neodymium and very strong, such that I was worried about pinched fingers. Also, when two magnets attracted and slammed into each other, the magnets were prone to shattering. These PLA cases both increased the minimum magnet-to-magnet separation distance and protected the fragile magnets from collision shattering events. I'm able to use the magnets with synthetic black iron oxide powder in a water suspension (with a couple drops of bleach to kill bacteria), contained in a smooth-sided tea bottle (Ball jars also work well). My 6 year old kids love them!

These work like clamshells. Just print two per magnet, and superglue them together with clamps!
