Instructions

1 Glue the large pieces together, making sure not to glue the arm.
2 Glue the pegs to the outside top of the structure.
3 Wrap a rubber band, starting at one peg, around the back of the arm through the notch, and onto the other peg.
4 Launch things.
5 ?
6 Profit.

Note : you might have to adjust the diameter of the hole for the arm. It might be a bit too tight to work. Also, I think the arm will need a small amount of support because the bowl of it sticks out a bit from it. Also, the parts that go into the frame need some support.

I designed this because the catapults I saw here looked like they would make a very unstable shot, what with the arm held on by a rubber band. So I stabilized it. I am thinking of adding a triggering mechanism, but I haven't figured out how to design that without losing the ability to adjust the power of the shot. If you have an idea, I would be glad to hear it.
