Summary

Otodus (=Carcharocles) megalodon is a giant Miocene-Pliocene saltwater shark.

The fossil tooth was found in Aurora North Carolina at the Aurora Phosphate Mine. The tooth was scanned using an Artec Spider.

The tooth was facing with the crown up, roots down. It should build support for the middle of the roots. Printing it laying down makes the layer lines go out of line with the serrations giving it a strange appearance.</p></div>
