String Vibrator

This little string vibrator setup provides a simple means to attach a switch, a D-cell battery holder, and a small motor. The motor is fitted with an offset weight to provide continuous oscillation. When hung from a string, standing waves in the string can be observed when the string length (and other properties) match the the frequency of the motor oscillation. Many oscillating modes can be observed.
