I did not render this model, I just softened and simplified the model of Vernazza (2018) available in the 3D Asteroid Catalogue site, to make it less "poly".
The file's names explained:
name_1_x_10_y.stl is 1 : x * 10
y. So _1_6_10_7 is 1:600000000 or one in 60 million.
10 Hygiea
Hygiea is the fourth largest object in the asteroid belt, is one of "the big four" along with
Ceres,
Vesta and
Pallas, and is the biggest C-type asteroid not counting Ceres, which is from a subgroup called G-type. Like the later, Hygiea is composed of water ice and covered by carbonaceous material, and after the latest observation of the VLT (Very Large Telescope) it was noticed very rounded, making it a good candidate for being a dwarf planet. If it is so, it would be the smallest dwarf planet known.
