Nova Labs HARP Rockets
This set of files is for the Nova Labs High Altitude Rocket Project (HARP) with a goal of launching a low orbital altitude rocket with an on board FPV video and autonomous navigation back to the launch site. The outcome will be to have video footage throughout the flight as well as telemetry. We are hoping (and have requested) the support of NARHAMS and others to assist us. We will test each version when we go to NASA Goddard, scaling up as necessary.
Update: Added some interesting scaled up fin cans
Update 8/27/14: NASA recently published a series of 3D models which included the Jupiter C. I imported it and modified it to be a flyable model rocket. We are going to do a test flight to see if the lower half is suitable for flight as is and if so then scale it up to hold 4 engines and act as a Stage 1 and Stage 2 of HARP. It's not perfect and can use some cleanup but that's what tinkering is all about.
Update: I thought you would like to know that all rockets flew successfully (except for HARP 3, because it was too heavy). The Jupiter C absolutely needs a C class engine and HARP 1 easily hit 700ft on a C6-5.
