N95 Upgraded Mask Double Intake

This is a remake of the Nanohack mask from Copper3D, and updated from this mask: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4233943. I updated the mask to make stronger threading so prints can be done in draft mode. Also, I have added better grip to the cap so it's easier to remove. You need to print 2 caps and 2 honeycombs per mask.

HOW TO MAKE

  1. Print the files with PLA. 20% infill, 0.3mm nozzle and activate supports(trust me on this one).
  2. Heat up a skillet filled with water to 60-65C. Place the "bottom fin" of the mask in the water. After a few seconds it will become pliable.
  3. Shape the bottom fin so it folds in and the outer flaps fold up. This will hold the chin. You can shape it around your chin, that temperature isn't going to burn as the PLA doesn't hold /transfer heat well.
  4. Then repeat with the sides. Last, shape the nose flaps to your cheeks and face.
  5. Use glue or silicone to fill in any gaps from the chin flap and nose flaps.
  6. Get some rubber bands or straps to hold it on.
  7. Cut some cloth or surgical masks to the shape of the circle air inlet. You need 2 per side, 4 in total. Use the honeycomb disc in between each filter for support.
  8. Make sure to wash or soak with dish soap and water each day of use. Dish soap breaks up the lipids that make up the outer encasing of COVID-19. Do not put in the dish washer as the heat will deform the mask.

Update 3/25/2020: There was a glitch in the previous mask where the threading had too small of an internal radius. I've improved it with the updated design so it now fits correctly with the cap.
